That being said, I hope you get some inspiration from some of my best engagement proposal ideas.

1. If you’ve been in the relationship a long time and you’re certain of the answer then why not have an instant wedding? The laws in Hawaii are very lenient for this, though you’ll need to organize things with a good hotel and the tourist board! Propose at dinner and when she accepts, start the wedding on the spot! You’ll need her friends and family involved!

2. Buy her 3 roses. The first represents the past, the second the present and the third which has the ring tied to it is the future.

3. Arrange to go to a luxury spa for the full treatment followed by a private photo shoot in your best outfits. During the shoot go down on one knee and propose, you’ll have the photos forever! Then go to a top restaurant followed by a night at a luxury hotel!

4. Arrange to meet your lady in the park at lunch time! Arrive a few minutes late wearing a suit of armour and riding a horse. Have a nearby friend in some bushes playing Holsts “Jupiter” as you arrive! Swing from the horse and offer to be her prince!

5. Rent a limo and pick your girl up from work. Present her with a rose and her favourite costume. Drive to the best restaurant in town and have it arranged so that they serve you in the limo. Play some romantic music and have the privacy window up. Propose for desert over champagne.

6. Recreate your first date! Take a walk past the spot you first met, cook her the first meal you ever cooked for her, watch your first movie and listen to your first song! Then propose!

7. Blindfold her and take her down to an idyllic spot by a nice river! When you release the blindfold have a nice picnic set up, you could hide a bottle of champagne in the river!
