Help! I Need Unique Wedding Favours

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Picking the favours for your wedding are probably not your main priority amongst the dress, flowers, meal , and all the other big decisions you need to make.

Despite this they are quite important and can really finish off the tables nicely, and give you a chance to add a little humour to the day. But it can be difficult to create something unique and appealing especially when your brain is full of other wedding plans. So to give you hand I put together my top 5 wedding favours:

Flower or plant seeds: Be kind to the planet and your guests by wrapping seeds up in pretty organza or hessian bags. Finish with some pretty ribbon and a hand written note and then your guests can plant your favourite flower in the ir garden and always be reminded of the good times they had at your wedding.

Retro sweets: You really can’t go wrong with sweets, they’re the ultimate crowd pleaser. One taste of a retro sweet like a sherbet dib dabs and you’re right back to being five again. Present your sweet treats in a traditional pick n mix bag to complete the experience and your guests will be sweet on you.

A Corporate Band For Hire

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

If you have a company function coming up and are the person responsible for hiring corporate bands, you will be pleased to know that most bands are equally as happy to play at corporate events as they are on say, birthday, wedding and bar mitzvah occasions. This is great news for you as you can be sure your chosen band will perform a wide variety of music catering for everyone’s taste.

Finding corporate bands is not as difficult as you may first think. In fact, looking on line or browsing through the music bands and agents in the yellow pages, usually gets your search well under way.

The next question you may ask is how you will know that the band you intend booking is the right one for your company and the answer to this is to check out their social networking page or website. It is important to do this kind of homework in order to make sure the band impresses everyone attending, especially your boss!

You can find out more about the bands you have shortlisted and the kind of music they play by listening and watching their on line video performances. It’s also a good idea to take a look at the comments other people have left after hiring the bands in question.
