Your Wedding: Finding the perfect Photographer

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

If you’re looking forward to your wedding soon, you’ll probably be doing a lot of planning. Don’t forget to hire the photographer. You might think you can just ask someone in the family to take some snapshots, but there’s a huge difference in quality between professional photos and amateur ones.

Of course, before you hire your wedding photographer, you need to know what to look for. A good photographer should believe that everyone is beautiful and that every wedding is important. Beware companies that treat your wedding like just another job - they won’t offer the personal treatment you really deserve.

Wedding photographers have an exciting opportunity in front of them. They have the option to capture expressions and important moments on one of the biggest days of your life. A wedding is an important event, when you’re surrounded by family and friends and making a commitment that’ll change your life forever - you deserve to have it captured properly.

This is why you need to choose a photographer who understands what they’re doing and is trained to deal with weddings specifically. They should be able to handle any style, from theme weddings and contemporary ceremonies to highly traditional ceremonies. They should take the time to understand what you want out of your wedding and your pictures, then take the time to help you get it.

Easy Wedding Favors Tips

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

In todays culture most people give wedding favors as a way of saying Thank You for coming to my wedding. To save time when there is so much else to think about, it’s a good idea to choose an easy wedding favor idea that has a similar theme as your wedding and then just change the colors and you’ll be able to make each look a little different. One easy wedding favor is a personalized commemorative bookmark that can have a picture of the bride and groom in addition to the wedding details which can be designed and printed using your home computer.

Bookmarks are best printed on a quality card; ivory is a good color but that’s only a suggestion as you may have a color in mind that matches the wedding theme perfectly. If you prefer something simpler then why not try bars of candy supplied by a company that specializes in this type of gift and should cost less than three dollars per bar which is not a bad price for the individual message providing you do not have a large number at the wedding. However, there is no reason why you shouldn’t try your hand at designing a wrapper on your home computer using a publishing program or even Microsoft Word and it is an easy wedding favor to produce.

Wedding Traditions Overview

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Wedding traditions are worldwide; some traditions have been in place for centuries and other traditions however are quaintly new, you can even start your own family wedding traditions. One lovely wedding tradition is the wearing a tiara and is taken from ancient times where there was a white ribbon worn around the shoulders and head of a king, which signified his power and wealth. Obviously this tradition has changed and the woman has taken over the wearing of a tiara which is normally half moon shaped encrusted with expensive gems.

If the wedding is truly traditional then the bridesmaids will also wear tiaras on their heads albeit smaller and less well adorned examples than that worn by the bride. The tiara is the finishing touch to the wedding dress and many women will keep this beautiful item for the rest of their lives, such is the importance of it. Often the bride’s attendants like bridesmaids, flower girls and maid of honor are presented with rings shaped like miniature tiaras which can make really beautiful wedding favors for those directly involved in the wedding.

Weddings by definiton are planned to be one of the most merry times in life, but sometimes the active schedule and stress takes it’s toll. Every part of the day it appears like demands to be attended to by the bride; reception and music, decor and dress and what about the stationary? While most people don’t have a problem to recall the invitations and placecards, not all grooms and brides remember to send ” save the date” reminders.

The “save the date” piece helps with some great roles. First, it permits out of town guests to get a head start on their travel plans. They can arrange for time off of work, make childcare arrangements if required, and have plenty of time to make flight and hotel reservations while the rates are still low.

Impress The Crowd With Great Best Man Speeches

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Successful best man speeches are expected to be emotional, entertaining, and funny. If you get chosen as the best man, then coming up with an awesome speech is one of your most important duties. A best man speech will be remembered by the wedding guests for a long while, whether it was extremely funny or embarrassingly bad. Thus it is very important that you spend the time to prepare your best man speech and make it your best work possible. For the sake of the bride and groom, don’t try to wing it!

The aim of the best man speech is both to honor the groom, but also to compliment the bride and in general, just confirm how perfect they are for one another. The best man speech should have an ample amount of humor to keep the wedding guests amused instead of falling asleep. If you decide to make fun of the groom, make sure you do it in a tasteful and respectful way.

It is important that your best man speech can be understood by all the different wedding guests. Remember, the crowd can range from small children all the way up to elderly grandparents. If you have any inside jokes, save them for another time.

Designer Wedding Rings Review

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

Your bride will probably want to have ring that complements her engagement ring when you go to choose your designer wedding rings. Unfortunately, while designer wedding rings that are elaborate may be attractive, they may not sit well next to the engagement ring and may actually draw attention from it.

The circular shape of your designer wedding ring is a symbol of eternity and the lasting commitment that two people make to be with each other. Many customs actually view the giving of the wedding ring as the last in a number of gifts given to each partner. Today this tradition has evolved into a new way to express the continuance of commitment in marriage with the giving of an ?eternity’ ring, to symbolize the happiness of a lasting marriage.

It is now becoming more popular to have wedding rings engraved so if you and your partner are buying matching designer wedding rings, why not have them both engraved with a message personal to you both just to give them that unique feel. Often plain designer wedding rings just don’t suit the personality of the owners so if this is the case why not have both you and your partner’s wedding rings given a unique style by having the edges engraved. There’s really no wrong answer as to what style of ring you should choose.
